Architecture before code
Every engagement starts with a written design doc and an explicit failure model. If we cannot describe how a system degrades, we are not ready to build it.
Who we are
A small group of infrastructure engineers who rebuild data platforms that have outgrown their original design. No account managers, no bench, no handoff to a delivery team you have never met.
Four commitments that shape every engagement, in the order they tend to matter.
Every engagement starts with a written design doc and an explicit failure model. If we cannot describe how a system degrades, we are not ready to build it.
Data products are trusted or they are worthless. We treat schema contracts, lineage, and reconciliation as first-class deliverables, not afterthoughts.
No performance work without a baseline. We instrument first, find the actual bottleneck, and leave you the dashboards that prove the change landed.
We hand over runbooks, architecture decision records, and a team that understands the system. Our success metric is that you no longer need us.
Four phases. Each ends in a deliverable you keep whether or not we continue.
Two weeks, fixed fee. We map your current stack, quantify the cost of the status quo, and deliver a written findings document. You own it whether or not we continue.
A target architecture with explicit trade-offs, a migration path that keeps production running, and a cost model you can take to finance.
Embedded engineers working in your repos, your CI, your on-call rotation. Shipped incrementally behind flags, never a big-bang cutover.
Documentation, runbooks, and paired on-call until your team is comfortable. We taper out deliberately rather than disappearing.
You get a lead architect on the call, not a salesperson. If we are not the right fit we will say so and point you somewhere better.
